What type of delivery vehicle do you use for transportation?
The contracted Old Hickory Driver has an F450 with a 40′ Gooseneck trailer, specialized in moving sheds.
Can my shed be moved?
In most cases, our sheds can be moved across your yard or town. Please reach out to your Old Hickory driver for more information.
Do you warranty your buildings?
Old Hickory stands behind its quality and craftsmanship by offering a five-year limited warranty on workmanship. Construction materials also maintain manufacturer warranties.
How does your Rent to Own program work?
The Rent-to-Own Program allows you to have your building delivered with little money upfront and affordable monthly payments.
Simply pick out the Shed or Barn that you want and pay us the first month’s rent and a security deposit, and we will deliver your building to your property.
We also offer 90 Days Same as Cash for all Rent-to- Own’s.
What payment methods are available?
Cash, Debit/ Credit, Cashier’s check, one-time ACH and Purchase Order.
What is your lead time for a new building?
Delivery for a custom building usually takes 4-5 weeks. CALL US for the most accurate lead times.
Delivery for on-lot buildings typically takes 7- 14 days, weather permitting.
How level does my site need to be?
All delivery sites need to be within 3′ of level from one corner to the opposite corner.
Do I need a permit?
We strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a shed to consult their local building and planning/ land use office to determine if a permit is needed. All buildings are engineer-certified, and we can provide custom engineering sets for an additional fee.
Any criteria/requirements, such as extra snow load and wind load resistance, can be met upon customer’s request.
What type of foundation do I neeed? OR What do you recommend?
A level foundation within 3′ of height from one corner to the opposite corner. We recommend 4″-6″ of 3/4″ minus compacted crushed gravel. A concrete pad is also acceptable.
Is levelling included for free with delivery?
Yes, the contracted driver will set up and level the building on your property. They come equipped with everything they need to do the job, including cedar shims, pressure-treated blocks, and pavers (additional charges apply for concrete pavers).
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes, we offer free delivery up to 30 miles from your nearest dealership or build shop.
Do you build the sheds on customers property instead of transporting already built?
Old Hickory Sheds offers a build-on-site option when delivery is not possible. It adds 10%, is not eligible for rent-to-own, and the building is left unpainted.
